Different barrels are used, first maturation in new charred American white oak barrels then it’s transferred to other charred barrels usually sherry or wine. This develops a complex, unique spice and apricot notes that defines the flavour which has underlying corn, anise, vanilla and citrus zest and of course the new charred American oak barrels, rounds out the flavour profile that is replicated in our premium quality Master Distillers Essence.
